Hi. Newcomer to blogging & Appalachia

We are Caity and Bo, 2 wild and normally crazy Irish Terriers from LA. Mom packed us up and we traveled to her new home in Waynesville, NC. LA was fine and NV(a 6 month layover) too damned hot and bright and we arrived in fall in the Appalachias. It was great to get some water in the air, the smelling is fine. Lot's of action going on as mom is working on the house and all kinds of new people to check out. ( And dogs and cats and that mysterious something that smells wild just the other side of the fence.) The best surprise of all was the snow. We had some stick on new years night and finally understand what mom was waiting for. Now if I only understood what she means by canoeing and spring. Plumber to greet see ya.
Note from BO: Sister did not like the desert, did nothing but complain about the raccoon eyes she got from desert sun. The sand was too hot fo her soft feet and she never understood about jackrabbits. I'm keeping my eye on things, as usual, so Cait can bluster around acting brave.(she is only when I'm around, guess who always has to sleep with mom?) Situational report is positive but I'll be glad of some hiking time when it comes.
